My friend was able to put on the most amazing wedding I’ve ever seen. It cost him an absolute fortune. It was held in a huge 200 year old converted barn in the depths of the Hertfordshire countryside. The venue alone cost £35,000 [gulp]. It was like being whisked off to a different land and was a truly captivating day. He gave his wife a day she will never forget and all because of the existence of the internet. He is now a multi-millionaire and enjoys a lifestyle I could only dream of.

His money has only come to him very recently mind you. A few short years ago he was working in the same factory as me assembling circuit boards. He used to bore me stupid banging on about the internet and how, one day, it would make him rich. He used to work on the computer until the early hours and his day job really was a secondary concern for him (all be it a necessary one). Then one day he did it.

He had been working away at free data entry opportunities for months and had been quietly amassing a small fortune in his spare time. I couldn’t believe it when he drove into work one day in a brand new, top of the range BMW and smugly handed the boss his letter of resignation. We were all shocked. He’d earned more in a year in his spare time than any of us had earned in our entire lifetimes! Just goes to show… the internet really can change lives.

The empire cute, pronounced ahm-pier, comes from the styles popularity during the empire time in France. The empire cut is defined by the waist line that is moved up to sit just below the bust line, and then beings to flow out from the body until it reaches the hem line. The silhouette of this gown can vary depending on the fullness of the gown and the fabric you choose.

A lighter weight fabric will flow softly out and lay lightly against the body. However in contrast a heavier weight fabric will have more structure to the gown and have the bottom of the gown be fuller. This gown style works well for most body types as well. It works especially great for the smaller bust because it draws the attention to the top half of the body.

The bust can be embellished with beads and lace to add a bigger effect to the gown. Oddly enough this gown style also tends to minimize the fuller bust. Most of the empire wedding gowns have a square cut neck line and therefore reveals less of the bust then the traditional V neck or scoop neck.
